Dave,

Face it, no one (except maybe SGI) is shipping DDR-based systems or motherboards in spite of the fact that it's been on the drawing boards as long as RDRAM.

What DDR motherboards have been on drawing board for as long as RDRAM? I am not aware of any chipset for PC type motherboard prior to the year 2000, so I don't know why a motherboard would be on a drawing board in absence of a chipset.

If the performance differences between DDR and RDRAM prove to be as negligible as the differences between PC-100, PC-133 SDRAM and RDRAM, Rambus may still survive and prosper if RDRAM prices match DDR, IMO.

Do you think RDRAM prices will match DDR within the next 6 months to 8 months?

Joe
