Zoltan, Since this is the Cisco thread, I would prefer it if you would tell me why Cisco does not treat payroll taxes on exercised stock options as an expense in computing profit from operations?

Zoltan, here is the part of the story from Bloomberg you forgot to mention and yes it is about Cisco.

The analyst says a graph of Nortel's stock is almost
identical to that of one of its main competitors, Cisco Systems Inc. Cisco was trading 13/16 lower at 61 7/8 ahead of its third-quarter earnings report later today.
