"...One does not have to be a woman to know how rough childbirth can be, and it is disgusting and absolutely repugnant to me when a woman thinks she can be the "dictator" and supreme judge as to whether or not a new human being can live or die, because she believes the unborn child to part of her body, as if it was a finger or toe she could chop off and dispose of at any time she felt like doing so..... I have news for those of you that believe that kind of garbage. The unborn child that needs the support of it's mother's body, is a brand new human being that is the sum of the creation of two separate souls, and as such, is not simply just an extension of a woman's body to be treated as a disposable item, like something flushed down a toilet. For those of you who do not yet realize this, only when you understand how little you know, will you know anything at all..... Yogi ..." Yogi, I see a human being in you after all. It is with much sadness that I learned of your personal ordeal. Undoubtedly it has marked you for life. Although I am neither Pro or Against abortion, as I believe it is a personal decision, I am of the opinion that a fetus is still a living human being. I just hope that I am never in a situation where I must make such a decision. Your personal experience has me baffled. You strike me as someone who values life and the bond between a father or mother with the child. Yet, I am at odds to explain your position on the Elian case. Maybe Juan may not be a perfect father. Maybe he acted late. Maybe he doesn't live in a perfect country. But he is the father and as such we have NO right to take his son away. Just like someone had no right to take your two children away. You, of all people, should be leading the support for Juan and his rights as a father to be with his child. Don't let the butchers carve into Elian's head by psychologically distancing him from his loving, sole surviving parent. Please put your political differences aside and respond as a human being......the human being that you have shown to be. Cheers, Vince
