Gary - Good point. I always like to throw in caveats for my opinions - it doesn't bother me if I'm not right, but I hate to be wrong. And I do like "Amish Paradise".

Hard as it is to believe today, I kind of liked the first rap song I heard, which I believe was "Subterranaean Homesick Blues". I thought it was an interesting sound. But it didn't take long for me to find it completely incomprehensible that a third rap album was ever released.

Also, a few years ago I was listening to a talk show hosted by a very hip young black guy whose take on rap was something like "I don't get it. This isn't music." His guests then introduced some music that was classified as rap that wasn't all that terrible. But still not nearly as good as the lamest R&B tunes.
