Lew, family problems are really tough at times. I also have a relations problem with a son going on three years. I can only trust God to change his feelings for me. I sincerely hope that God's plans for your problem includes bringing a happy resolution for you.
James

Dearest Lewis,
This may take some time and any that want to can pass by. I want to share the testimony of my older son. When he was 3 he was not talking much and was VERY busy. At Church I would be taken to the side and told that he could not come back etc... I decided to home school him because I knew something was different so I did until he was in 2nd grade and we put him into school. Shortly after they wanted me to take him to a Dr. for a diagnosis so we did. It turned out that my son was Autistic with the specific diagnosis of PDD. He would lick and bite people scream at loud noises, slam books closed on peoples hands etc... However, I always saw that he loved the Lord a lot. Whenever I would read the Bible to him or talk about Jesus a calmness would come over him. In fact he had a special closeness that I longed for. He accepted the Lord as his savior when he was 7 years old. Then he was shot at going to services and that was very hard for him to understand then we went through a big process at the FBI and Dept. of Justice. Going to Middle School he was made to wear girls gym clothes by a vicious and cruel Coach and had many bullies harass him until he could not even eat his lunch. During all of this he found a verse printed in my Bible from Nehemiah:
The Lord is our stronghold in times of trouble and He knows those that trust in Him. He put this up over his bed and read it every night. I had to change his school because of the bully problem and the new school had a child that said he was talking about using guns and what it would be like to shoot someone. The school got all upset and brought in physciatrist and counselors to evaluate him. When I asked he said it had never happened. I fell apart from fear of what they might say or do about my son. He had been through enough. Well this is why I am sharing this story, they did their tests and evaluations and had me come in with about 15 people including the dean and principal for a meeting. I was praying inside to not be fearful but my knees were weak. They said to me that my son is a wonderful person and that the accusations were found to be false and that I must be a wonderful mother. Then they said having looked back at where he came from they see that his progress has been nothing short of MIRACULOUS. That he was tested and found to be on grade level in all subjects. I was so filled with awe and love for Jesus I can not put it into words.
When I got home I saw the verse my son had put up in his room and broke down and cried from admiration of our King.
Sorry to go on and on but I wanted to share that our HOPE is in Him and He will never fail those that trust in Him.
Nancy
