Lee, we are old enough to remember the 1973-74 bear market. Dow was down over 50% with many stocks down over 70%. A couple of good friends in the brokerage business were laid off. They were leaving anyhow. It was a tough time.

Lee, usually these kinds of drops are precipitated by events such as conflicts, catastrophes, asian meltdowns, marked inflation ,or government fiascos............none of these were in effect and so the decline was not expected in such depth in such short time.
