Shhhhhhhhhh, don't mention it, but look at this. Message 13667097 <...Australia has raised the value of high-speed wireless licenses it plans to sell in the fiscal year starting July 1 by more than ten-fold. The government raised the value of the licenses by A$2.6 billion, from ``substantially less than A$200 million'' it expected to get six months ago, according to a treasury official. The reevaluation comes after the U.K. reaped more than US$35 billion selling high-speed licenses, ten times expectations. ``Obviously we weren't budgeting for enough in terms of revenue as we think we now should have,'' Treasurer Peter Costello told reporters... > In case nobody has noticed, Globalstar has got a sky full of spectrum for no charge. Now we shouldn't go shouting that from the rooftops, but we really have got near global coverage, with no competition since ICO and Iridium packed sads, with a big chunk of spectrum at no cost! That is perhaps why Globalstar is making it look really bad at the moment. They know that if the various countries get wind of what Globalstar has got, they'll kick up like crazy and try to charge $400bn for the spectrum. Since UK alone was $36bn, that would be cheap! So we have to make Globalstar limp and drag a wing like a duck, leading the predator away from her nest. Oh, woe is us. Look we are about to go broke! [Pssst, you guys hurry up and get those gateways lined up and let's get ready to make $5bn a year clear ]. And people probably really thought that Super-spy Triple-Agent Bernard Shwartz couldn't get this right?!! Hahah!! Please everybody, DO NOT MENTION THIS TO ANY POLITICIANS WHO ARE TRYING TO SELL SPECTRUM. Vodafone will be able to sell Globalstar service to Australians without that huge spectrum cost. The cost of a minute [or megabyte] with Globalstar might be cheaper than terrestrial. Cool. Well, a few hours and we open again for business and see if anyone is getting a bit worried about covering their shorts [or simply buying a super-duper bargain]. Nasdaq is in big trouble, so maybe GSTRF will fall with a falling tide. Mqurice
