No credible advertising person would suggest that end user advertising even attempt such a differentiation. Such programs fail.

That's why I keep harping on the "benefits", forget the features.

R&D and Advertising are at opposite ends of the product spectrum. You do not do one at the expense of the other.
You instead recognize the need for both, and you fund both.

Mike I think the customer is a lot smarter than we all think.Give it enough time and the customer will differentiate.CDMA inside/technology will be enough in my opinion.We are as they say in the first inning.I would prefer QCom spending money on R&D than advertise what the difference between CDMA and GSM and TDMA is.

No so long ago, users only knew cellphones and could not distinguish between analog or digital. Today, they differentiate.
