Right, Dave..now all we need is much improved production of RDRAM and the rest of the pieces will slide into place.

Also, a quickie report from Networld+Interop. Since it's a networking show, none of the PC vendors were there (showing PC's, at least). I did stop by the Sitera booth and saw some box running their new RDRAM-based processor. One of the Sitera folks asked if I had any questions, so I asked why they chose to support RDRAM. His answer was that it had such high bandwidth -- 12Gbps in 16 pins. He then pointed at a booth across the aisle (MMC, I think, but I don't know who they are or what they do) and said that their competitors had to use 128-bit wide datapaths to accomplish the same thing. Since their booth was busy, I thanked him and backed off to let him talk to "real" customers.
