Dell blew by $0.16 concensus with earnings of $0.19. Up about $2 1/2 to $3 on ECN. Hope it helps INTC.

I agree with you, and I'm sure many of the people on this thread could do better than the gov't in managing their retirement funds. But, soc. sec. wasn't set up to provide for those who were able to provide for themselves. It was, correct me if I'm wrong on this, set up as something of a safety net.

My guess is you can do fine without the net. Others, I'm not so sure.
