pt, re:<the increase in shares from 152M -> 172M> Forgot that! Wowsers, that sure buried the 0.10. If we adjusted the contest for that, I imagine EVERYBODY was too pessimistic.

Interestingly enough AMD did their math wrong.

income: $189,349,000
shares (diluted) 171,942,000

eps: $1.10

Interestingly, if you take the operating income, of about 180M, you do get $1.05 for operating profits. (which would fit with the $1.15 - .10), and then make the investment income only .05 and not .10 assuming the rest of my math is right

Am I messing something up here?

Do you mean that Q1 was based on 172M? I thought 172M should be the number for Q2
