You may want to look up Mr Whittington's history on MU - specifically his calls in 94/95.

If prices were at $4.80, they weren't there for long - and they got there after a steep drop from $10+ last fall.

As for equipment orders, it sounds like you are getting your information from MU. Why do you think MU knows what equipment Samsung and others have on order and when they ordered it? Samsung has been planning Line 10 for quite some time.

As for Mr Bedard, his job is to sell the company. You may find it interesting to know that he recently sold 70,000 of his shares. Many of his peers sold as well, as have TI and Intel.

MU will probably have a good Q4. But the market is already anticipating a GREAT Q4. The analysts are expecting MU to make nearly as much as they did in Q1 - when the Taiwan earthquake and concerns about Y2K-related supply chain disruption drove spot prices to nearly $20.
