Re : the SI Rambus crowd having already talked about (and possibly done) the exact same thing ...

I have not yet looked carefully at the SI Rambus thread, but -- I bet that Maurice's "tragic flaw" was attempting to discuss this whole "short busting" proposition in an academic, intellectual type atmosphere.

People cannot stand that !

Jon.

Thanks for pointing out Rambus Mac. siliconinvestor.com
I didn't know about that. The graph is simply amazing! Good grief. I suppose the SEC and that guy from California will be showing up with handcuffs for all the Rambus shareholders who mentioned the idea or moved their stock, or bought it or sold it or generally had anything to do with Rambus.

Meanwhile, here's a suggestion I received by PM for people to consider. I have no idea whether it is true as I don't like to leave open orders lying around the place:

< I read somewhere that if you put a limit order on a stock that it can't be loaned out to shorters. I don't know whether this is true or not, but if it is, why go through the trouble of transferring stock? Just put a limit order to sell your GSTRF @ $50.>
