Carranza - I am having trouble reaching through to you; it is likely that there is some interdimensional interference here. In the universe where I live, it's a fact that cdma2000 is roughly 2 years behind W-CDMA in actual implementation. This is the issue DDI executives have repeatedly raised in various interviews. They should know; they have compared the standards.

The ASIC's are already in production, of course. The first 3G base stations are being manufactured here in Finland. I have discussed with telecom analysts who have toured the factories producing them. They, like, touched them and stuff - just to make sure they exist in this dimension.

I think that Texas Instruments is one of the key chipset vendors. Do you seriously think that Japan Telecom, Suomen 3G, KPN and Viag would have committed to Nokia's W-CDMA without first seeing the trial networks and products?
