Can't help on the DSL ISP question, sorry. It is true that security is even more important on DSL since you are online all the time, but its importance on dialup is frequently underestimated. I am on dialup, and get scanned regularly. Also, any time you connect to a web site you should be aware that they can connect to you. Furthermore if you have a home LAN, any drives you share at home are probably also being offered for sharing across the web because that is the way Windows defaults. Do you really want someone you don't know to share your drives and data? Carl
