Claude off topic, would you know the silver content in a canuck silver dollar, pre 1967 ? i was at a coin shop today and was told that a silver dollar contained .6 of an ounce, so if that is so, a silver dollar is worth in pure silver 3 bucks us or say $ 4.50 canadian.

he sells as is silver dollars (you don't quibble about condition at all) for $ 5 even.

seems to me this is a good deal if one thinks silver will spike

your comments, monsieur, sil vous plait :)

<<Technical analysis is not the end of the world. I see it only as a tool to support decision that must be first based on fundamental analysis.>>

Claude, again we are 100% in agreement. I use it more to get a good entry point in a stock that has strong fundamentals.

TA is a good gauge of investor sentiment though. Take the case of PFG. Price and volume action suggested early that Luicho was an important property. Although the price seemed to have run ahead of itself at the beginning, the fundamentals quickly caught up with the price. We could argue if it is still slightly overvalued but the exercise would be fruitless as the stock has been trading over $4.50 for too long to be a short term market anomaly. In this case, recognizing the trend without even knowing the fundamentals would have made someone a lot of money.

In the case of FGX, TA does not support the fundamentals and I must admit that it is making my investment decision a little harder. Perhaps the fundamentals aren't as strong as we think...
