Since the Internet appeared on the scene, I have been overseas most of the time myself (Croatia, Mauritius and now Bosnia). I don't know how much I affected the US economy (lol) but I have been able to do things from active stock trading to talking with family on Internet voice programs for the last five years. All on the Internet. That's why I think that the Net is still in its early days compared to what it will be ten years from now.
