I am a NOK shareholder as well as our most Qtypes. We all believe NOK is a fine Company, especially when they finnish(no pun) the negotiations to buy QCOM expertise in ASIC's. I guarentee Nok will either 1)Buy a Korean Chip maker, 2)Buy ASICS outright or 3)Buy the design's or architecture from QCOM. What do you think TERO? DO you wanna BET? Your all ready 0-2 with me!

If I am wrong NOK will be in big trouble as the ASIANS will eat the CDMA pie in the US and ASIA. The 1xrt phones will be out soon and carriers will demand this technology. If Nok doesnt deal soon they will have NO VENDORS selling their phones.

By the way, this used to be the Nokia thread - where are your accurate pros and cons with regard to Nokia?

It looks like QCOM investors want to let Nokia know MUST do to remain competitive.<g>
I think the executives at Nokia know what is going on. Is it just a fluke they have outgunned Ericcson and Motorola in the handset business? People should just look at the margins. Also take a look at the track record. They have become into the brand name in handsets. I believe Nokia's management has a pretty good idea where they are headed.

What I appreciate about Tero is his ability to take what is is actually happening in the marketplace and attempt to extrapolate those facts into a meaningful perspective on the future.

I agree. He can recognize political situations in different countries (especially in Asia) and the influences it may have in the decision making process.

Overall, I think this thread is great. I think it went overboard with personal attacks in the last couple of days.
..and of course just a little too much Qcom, IMHO.
