Hi Tim,

The accounting change was out before this quarter,as evidenced by Cohu taking their medicine early(as I should've anticipated and didn't). Here's the kicker I'm struggling with: Wouldn't any semi equip. co. worth its salt have sandbagged last quarter and eased into the next quarter with an adjustment that smoothes out the transition over two quarters.

Quite frankly I expected better blow-out numbers on AMAT and NVLS - they beat but squeaked over.I have the feeling next quarter will be another " what accounting change " earnings release time period.

I am always impressed with chuck Schwan's " do it the conservative way ".I like how he prepped the next quarter by saying he was going to work on margins. With the biggest backlog in Cohu's history, the accounting charge fully behind them and management committed to expanding margins : My money is going into Cohu on dips.

I am REALLY excited to see this next quarter earnings. I believe it will trigger a pop very similar to past second runs.Unfortunately these runs occurred at the end of a growth cycle. This time seems to be different inthat the cycle is projected out further by the entire sector. This pop could well launch Cohu's price into the parabolic.

Remember where you heard it first !!!!!
