cheryl, Great questions! MAO would be a great tool, but I haven't seen it in any package I'm familiar with. MA crossovers are not trend predictors, as are Stochastics, ROC, OBV and others. They simply confirm a change in direction or momentum already underway. Thus we will lag the crossover point nearly every time. But this also means that we get into the "meat" of the trend and are less likely to be fooled by false signals. TC.
