I mentioned that I had some old IDC data for Dell shipments by family, and here it is (rounded a little)...

"Other" is almost completely laptop (Inspiron and Latitude) except for 1K to 2K of what IDC called "other".

It looks like the Optiplex line is 60ish% of their desktop line. I'd guess that that's because it's the enterprise desktop line and they have such good penetration in corporate accounts.
