Heinz, I am in the same camp
Whether it comes tomorrow, Wednesday, or next week the averages are in for big correction round two. With the funds rate going to 6.50% and likely higher...FOLKS THAT IS PRETTY DAMN GOOD money for fixed income in a BEAR market for stock indices. There will be no post 1994 bull market. S&P earnings comparisons simply are not the same now as then. Greenspan can now undue "irrational exuberance"(his talk in 1996), put on hold by Asia, Russia, LTC, and Y2k. With a potential full basis point of hikes before year end, (maybe more) NASDAQ 2400-2800 as a trading range looks very clean to me.
Irrational exuberance.....I got one for you all. Arrived back in town this evening from a five day trip and I traded jokes with the airport attendant about giving me a plaque for all of the money I spend in parking. He retorted that my 'stock options' would be in the mail.
Enough said.
