Interesting article. In defense of the thesis, I always take any conclusions reached by Forrester Research with a grain of salt. These guys always reach extreme conclusions with the purpose of generating publicity, which they hope will translate into lucrative consulting projects. A similar approach is taken by Gartner group, Gomez Advisors and others of the same ilk.
