This is the second time in the last couple of days that the notion of enforced asylum as come up. Maybe I've lost track of something here. Do we know for a fact that if Elian is granted asylum he is REQUIRED to stay here? I don't know if I read it or just assumed it, but I was under the impression that if granted asylum he, or his father on his behalf, could say thanks, but no thanks, and head for Cuba or Canada or Argentina or wherever. Would you or someone refresh my memory?
