WRT inflation, I heard an interview last week with the director of the economic forecasting firm that puts out the Future Inflation Gauge, or FIG. He said that the FIG turns up several months before any inflation appears, it turned up in June, and now we are seeing signs of inflation. The FIG also turns down several months before inflation recedes, but it has not done so to date. In his words, "until it turns down, we have inflation as far as the eye can see."
