Yes, I'm sure the MoBo will accept either. The Coppermines comes in both flavors. Slot 1 and FC-PGA. If you have a Slot 1 and want to go with a FC-PGA, the 370 pin, you will need a SlotKet adapter. Otherwise just use a Slot 1 Coppermine.( Seems you have the Slot1 ?). The BIOS update probably will not mention Coppermine, only P11, P111, Celeron, something like that. azzo.com, dallasmemory.com pcnut.com Read about the many configurations Intel has to confuse us with<g>. My understanding is the Coppermine is New technology, using .18 micron, thin wafers, to put chips on. This is much thinner and easier to cool than the old .25 and .35 microns from the past. The FC-PGA, flip-chip, is a socket 370 pin with .18 micron. The PPGA is socket 370 on the .25 micron wafer. If you have a Socket 370 PPGA MoBo, you can get the Powerleap adapter, $24.95, Neo-s370, powerleap.com, to adapt the FC-PGA to this MoBo. So much to learn, So little time!!!!!! millisec.safeshopper.com, these are poplar coolers for the OEM Socket or Slot1. If you get a BOX Retail with a 3 year warranty, a Heatsink/fan will be mounted.
