we are looking at a whole new paradigm here. DRAM oversupply caused prices to drop radically as volumes stayed pretty much the same. DRAM is used mainly in PC's. But low DRAM prices do not fuel further PC sales.

On the other hand, whole new ranges of products are coming on the market that depend entirely on Flash memory- MP3 players, cell-phones, PDA's ,etc sales for ALL of which can be fueled radically by lower flash prices, causing MORE FLASH TO BE SOLD.

Boosting flash production will bring MP3 player price points down further to where they will be a NECESSITY for Christamas or Birthday to make your kid happy. And the excuse that flash memory is too expensive will evaporate as an excuse NOT to buy an MP3 player.

More flash supply will FUEL sales of devices that use it..
