AMd has K6-2+ and K6-3+ documents on the website for at least a few days (dated 5/2000)

Among other things:
1. Nominal core voltage is 2.0v (1.9 to 2.1)
2. Standard 321 pin CPGA package so it should be compatible with most socket 7 K6-2 motherboards, most of which go down to 2.0 volts.
3. Dissipates 12.6w typical, 16w maximum at 450, 475 or 500 MHz. Strangely, the same figures are given for the K6-3+ with its larger 256K cache. (Huh??)

I haven't tried to read the stuff on how it lowers operating frequency to save power when 1)its too hot and/or 2)when its running wait loops.

Looks to me like AMD doesn't want to reveal power dissipation vs. frequency for competitive reasons.

Petz,
RE:Make a $1000 notebook with a 12" screen and 10 hour battery life and I'll buy it, even if its 400 MHz

That market would explode and become the next large market to expand as the others top out.
