What digital camera features are important to you?

Art, to be honest I think uncompressed TIFF files are overkill. I shoot all my photos on my Epson PhotoPC 850Z in "**" mode which is equivalent to moderate compression with file sizes of 400KB. The resolution is excellent (note: my PhotoPoint album is compressed [10:1] from the "raw" results) and the files are easy to handle.

Second, I find the real test for a flash unit is how well it performs in tighter situations. Is the subject washed out? Is the scene overpowered by the flash?

I find relying on a built-in flash for longer range photos to be asking a bit too much. At that stage we should be talking about flash attachments.
