Denis- I'm afraid David is right. Here's a link with the details of what he is referring to:

ASP? Sigh...someday...maybe?

I'm sure the Gorilla guys will be all over this thread(in a good way) if CTXS starts truly ramping up revenues via the ASP model. Sometimes I feel as if CTXS is betting the farm on it. -MikeM(From Florida)

David, MikeM the BW article is misleading in regards to the ASP matter. Clearly it has not been a factor to CTXS up to now, however the company plans to take part when it fully emerges.

OUR SUCCESS DEPENDS UPON BROAD-BASED ACCEPTANCE OF INTERNET-BASED BUSINESS SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS We intend to leverage our relationships with application service providers ("ASP") to encourage them to use our products in providing their solutions to end users. The ASP market is in its nascent stage of development but is evolving quickly. We cannot predict when or if the ASP market will fully evolve into a commercially viable market. We are currently investing, and intend to continue to invest, significant resources to develop these channels, which could reduce our profits.

Application Service Providers. The rising cost of licensing and the complexity of systems administration have given rise to ASPs. ASPs function as virtual "computing utility companies" whereby businesses or consumers can access applications from a central location. The ability of ASPs to rapidly deliver such applications over the Internet and other networks, wired to wireless, is limited by bandwidth requirements, user device capabilities, and a system that is scalable, reliable and secure. The Company's products and technologies allow ASPs to deliver the largest number of applications to the broadest array of computing devices with minimum bandwidth requirements. The advanced manageability and security features of the Company's products and technologies enable ASPs to meet the demands for scalability, reliability and security.
