The company is very closed mouth about the nature of the technology of course. However, I do know that they purchased 27K feet of 26 guage twisted copper and announced a successful test at 3500 feet. It is my understanding that 8500 foot verification is a couple of months away. It is also my understanding that the technology is a new wave form.

Thanks,

Thread- Earlier this year, we had a discussion about the viability of this company, New Visual, claims to do VDSL speeds over 9,000 feet. I believe most of us gave it a thumbs down.

In the FWIW category, here is a recent write-up on it from DSL-Prime. -MikeM(From Florida)

*****************************

New Visual, (NVEI.OB) despite Bloomberg's devastating coverage of their unlikely claims, still has a nominal value of $150M on the market. Driving 51 meg 9,000 feet over standard copper is so unlikely we recommend the enforcement authorities look closely into how the stock prices are being maintained. If anyone knows where we can get some shares to short, please email the editor.
