Original Mad Dog - thanks for your post.

You state that a mere reference to the golden rule isn't enough. But then you state that you agree with the "junta's" decision. Aren't these mutually exculsive?

It would be great if someone could elaborate on how Kis's last post constitutes a personal attack. Was it because Kis criticized William for editing his post? Was it because Kis called William a hypocrite? Was it Kis's suggestion that William move to China or Cuba? Personally, I view none of these as being severe enough to warrant Kis's censorship. If you accept these as being severe enough, then I believe it would be only fair to call into question William's accusation that Kis was spreading a conspiracy theory - was this not a personal attack on William's part?

In truth, this is all a bit ridiculous. Reading through the series of posts between William and Kis makes it appear that Kis was censored because he was a bit abrasive - and such censorship was accomplished and justified through the purportedly established "policies" of the thread. My view is that the thread policies are not clear - and from the surface, they certainly don't appear to be fair.

By the way, I can't help but point out the irony of someone with an alias of "Original Mad Dog" posting comments about the negative effects of personal attacks. I suppose your alias does not reflect your discussion style (it doesn't appear to).

Thanks,
-Eric
