Yes, but Allen put it all in T Bills and resents the fact that some middle class democrats were accumulating wealth--he called it sarcastically the wealth effect, and created a vernacular in which, in a democratic society, the "wealth effect" is supposed to be a bad thing. Well, he may bring on recession to throw Gore out, but it may backfire when the folks who lose their jobs, and those who lose their retirement savings realize AG is a republican.
