well, one thing that can't be taken away from gold is that it's the only currency that is not someone else's obligation.

a dollar is a claim on the US government...but a claim to what, exactly? it's an empty promise...if it is broken, there's no recourse. that's the main reason why the global drive to demonetize gold is ultimately fated to fail.

Someone tell Fleckenstein that gold is flying in other currencies. Someone also tell RonReece that this is yet another tidbit of evidence that gold IS a currency.
