From the MDFoods web site: Progress in Tagatose GRAS approval The GRAS Panel evaluating the safety of tagatose met on May 15 in Washington DC. While important issues were resolved, the Panel asked for additional data on specific issues before a final opinon can be provided. Arla Foods Ingredients and the Panel will continue working together with the aim of resolving these issues and drafing a GRAS report as soon as possible. Looks like this may take longer than many of us had hoped! Another buying opportunity?
