Ok, I just plugged in a neighbor's keyboard and everything is back to normal.

What am I supposed to do? Unlike what Dr. D said, there was nothing spilled on the keyboard lately. And this deterioration happened just this morning and started getting worse as time passed. The last straw was when the computer started to beep constantly like one was keying in an incorrect response.

I also have the cover off the keyboard and there isn't any crud I can see under the keys. Where do I get a keyboard for cheap as I've got to give back this loaner when her kids get home from school.
