Buying IASIA. . .recent IPO just out of Quiet Period. . .just now hit with volume. . .while China stocks hot. Momo players. . .what more do you need fireworks and dancing girls? <G>

5 million shares outstanding. . . supposedly representing 100 percent of the company. . .according to IPO news: biz.yahoo.com

Originally priced at $14 per share. . .about $7.25 as I write this.

Based in Hong Kong. Hey! Among many others. . .they even have an association with HEAR. . . good taste?

Disclaimer. . . . Please do your own Due Diligence. I bought a small amount the same minute I posted I was "buying". . .Momentum stocks are risky and are not to be considered an investment. Newbies should paper trade until they have shown consistent positive performance. I am not a financial advisor. You should consult your broker <g>, tax advisor, financial advisor, accountant or other professional before investing any monies anywhere.

rande- so much for my strong close, my goal was to be in cash by the end of the week, but then i started thinking about no ecomomic reports and fed meetings for a couple of weeks, maybe the bulls could get us to the 3800-4000 area, but my bull is getting weaker as we continue to focus on the "next rate hike", do you see anything happening to get us back to the up side momentum or is your summer blues forecast still intact?
ps nice call on iasia, tried to buy at 7 7/8 and missed it, but im not chasing anything in this market, just looking for singles, and i cant believe yahoo did not get pumped today, they will be featured on business center tonight, i was looking for their wireless strategy to get them a pop, but so far, that is my first negative trade in a week, anyway, profit often is still the best advice you could give

Randi Is,

>>"That is ridiculous! Go to your local software supermarket and look at all the Corel software for sale there. Look at the display for Corel Linux. . . look how it has sold. Ask the salesperson how it sells. I have."<<

As much as I will like to see that the Corel Linux is selling as brisk-neck pace, I tend to see the sale is restricted to those hardcore PC users who don't mind getting their "fingers" busy experimenting and "playing" with a new OS. Not to say that this group of hardcore PC users is not large; but it may not be large enough to generate enough cash to improve Corel cash flow situation.

Even though the falling price of Corel approaches what seems to be an attractive low price, I will prefer to wait for any sign of reversal of trend before buying. But then, you have caught more bottoms than I can count with my fingers. <g>

Good Luck.
