"...I don't agree, yogi, as I said, because I don't know what the facts of his arrival here are...."

That's right Rambi, we DON'T know the facts - except of course for Yoga, Sub-average & Square Root whose pompous arrogance leads them to believe that they know everything.

Most of us here, on the other hand, don't pretend to have all the answers. But for whatever reason the father may have delayed his trip, he should be given the benefit of the doubt. As a father he is owed at least one chance. And taking his child away for something which we know not is completely immoral and inhuman.

Cheers,

Vince

Rambi, With all due respect, I believe that you are "guilty" of using "feelings in excess here, and not enough logic. (Elian needs his father, boo-hoo-hoo, sob-sob) This boy who was becoming a relatively free American, is now being brainwashed in the old Soviet Union style, but of course you do not consider that child abuse, even though so many risked their lives to get away from just that sort of thing in Cuba, the old Soviet Union, the old East Germany, etc, etc, etc! Perhaps you should live under those conditions for awhile, and when you realize that it is the totalitarian government that has control over the children, not the parents, you will change your mind? (I rather doubt that.) Let's forget about feelings for awhile and look at the reality of the situation! (And people here have posted what is the reality in Castro's Cuba.) You need to dwell on that more than the father, the father, the father!!! Yogi
