Al,

Welcome aboard (hope that wasn't a repeat)!

<I still have trouble believing that Intel is not feverishly developing a DDR backdoor...>

I was thinking the same but the way these guys seem to be painting themselves into a corner with RDRAM one has to wonder.

To make the same bad mistake two years in a row is downright dumb. Can Intel's top brass be this bad? Almost sounds too bad to be true.

Chuck

Al,

I still have trouble believing that Intel is not feverishly developing a DDR backdoor.

Are you saying that this Luis Burns character (who doesn't have DDR on his roadmap) is lying?

Joe

Ali, As soon as Intel says that Rambus will crater, so even if they have this back door under development they will say nothing until they need it(if ever)
They are tied to Rambus. That reminds me of the old Poem
The Rime of the Ancient Mariner....let me change it a little

Ah! well a-day! what evil looks
Were had from old and young!
Instead of the cross, the Rambus-tross
About Intel's neck was hung.
