All the schmucks who are unloading SUNW, EMC and CSCO will have to figure out when to get back into these securities. I have heard that there is only 1 in 4 chance that they will pick the bottom. My theory is to hold on and ride the ship down . OK, these stocks are 30% below their 52 week highs and might fall another 10% but I agree that there is going to be a move higher. My feeling is that this will occur by mid to late July.

I feel more confident about EMC and CSCO than I do about SUNW. SUNW appears to be gloating about all the troubles they helped force onto Microsoft, while EMC and CSCO continue to focus on meeting their customers' needs as best they can.

All of these companies have great prospects in the coming decade. So, if you're a long-term long, I certainly wouldn't sell at this point, especially having already lost 30%. The near-term outlook may be a bit dim, but do you saddle yourself with a 20% tax hit just to be able to buy back in at 10% lower? That's most definitely a losing trade!
