Ken, and to follow up on my answer to Marshall...

There are times when a crossover uncrosses in RT. This is horribly frustrating if you've already made your trade decision. Since I check the hourly bars at the end of the hour's trading, I sometimes wait until the new bar appears. Once it does it "fixes" in place the previous MA readings.

But here is where skills in chart reading, and perhaps other TA indicators can come in handy...for if a crossover, or even near crossover, is accompanied by a very obvious change in price momentum, then the trade ought to go through, even if confirmation of the signal has not happened yet.
