Hi Bill,

There will be others here who will be more knowledgeable about the 'test' game. I ran across Tolly via one of the Data Comm magazines (hey, maybe even Data Commm) that was testing comms switches last fall.

I believe that Frank brought up the issue that BER, Bit Error Rate is something that is easily masked in visual testing, where the eye is very forgiving about missing signal. I always wondered where the term "vivid imagination" came from. <g>

I see from your profile that you are a NVXE investor, so I won't say anything too terrible here, but I would suggest that the press release that was posted here yesterday had a lot of hallmarks of an amateur stock scam announcement. As opposed the the professional stock scam announcements from Lucent Press Releases, Inc. Heh, heh, just kidding.... maybe.
