Removing the sulfur from diesel is a very good thing.

Let me explain.

Sulfur is a "poison". Not so much metabolic, but catalytic. Sulfur kills catalytic converters. If you strip the sulfur out of Diesel fuel, then the big trucks and buses can be fitted with catalytic converters in the exhaust system. I've been waiting a LONG time for this, and am very glad to see such a simple, good idea be implemented.

Imagine no more "Diesel smell", except at airports.

The cost per gallon will be maybe a nickel. But diesel vehicles are the last big polluters on road and rail. The air quality benefits can hardly be overstated.
