Well, I think that there is the assumption that a China preoccupied with improving its standard of living is a moderate China, and that an affront to the Chinese leadership would make them more aggressive. Whether or not that is true is worth extensive debate, along with the other issues, and the Administration has little credibility to carry on debate. I would prefer waiting until after the election to take this up.......
