OT: Monty, good call on the INTC.

Well done. Of course, perhaps it helps that the entire screen of my was RED, but kudos for the right call anyway. We'll never know how INTC would have done on an up nasdaq day today, but the odds of that weren't very good anyway.

Monty,

Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back... I suppose I could have done the same when the market was screaming but didnt' cuz I knew that Mo would take us higher.

wrt Cisco.. late selling due to rumors regarding Chambers I believe. I could be wrong. I don't think we'll open lower on Monday but if the last 4 days are any indication you'll be right. I'd say your guess (and it is that - at least admit it) is probably a good one. INTC announced that they restated earnings (down a penny) due to repacing motherboards. You got lucky.

If you don't already know (I've posted this before here) I dislike "I told you so's." I find them irritatingly childish. Sorry for being so honest... please don't take it the wrong way.

OG

TSC resident TA man, Gary B. Smith did CSCO Friday.

thestreet.com (subscription required)

He used a daily chart that ran to Thursdays close, drawing a horizontal support line at about 54 3/4. He said:

If it closes Friday below this line, then the 50s will look great because then it'll be headed deep into the low 40s.

It closed Friday more than the usually required 1 point below that line, as you know, at 53 7/16. Still, not exactly a decisive break, but if it was my money, I'd sell on the next rally.

pcquote.com

More bad signs: in the last peak on the chart, up volume was light, down volume was heavy.

What a previous poster said about the S&P rejiggering causing a CSCO climax selloff made sense to me. I'm looking for it as a possible entry point.
