Speakin of dogs...mah lil male schnauzer just had oral surgery. Somehow he knocked out a bottom front tooth but not completely. It was hangin on by the root but layin down parallel behind the bottom teeth...eeeeeekkkk. OUCH!! Dunno when it happened cause he nevah acted like it hurt but sure made mah skin crawl when I saw it. He was layin on his back restin against me (big wimpy mama's boy) and gave me a big ole yaaawn ...that was when I noticed it. Anyway, took him to the vet thurs and got him back that afternoon. He seems to not have noticed at all and ah be so thankful he is ok. Hate puttin critters under anesthesia. He sleeps with me also and is very protective...whata luv. :-) The other lil gal dogs missed him too and were glad to see him back. Now he struts around like the man of the house. hahaha...cute lil guy, but then ah am predjudiced. :-) just porchin, best regards, Depy

I hear ya. Found out a couple of weeks ago my big dog, Pupper has bone cancer. I found her 10 yrs. ago while riding in the woods. I heard this crying sound and when I looked, there was a tiny black puppy, with eyes barely open. I took her home. She's always been a happy dog and likes to keep her eyes on me. When I go in the house, she stays by the door, knowing sooner or later I'll come back out the same way. Follows me around the property and watches me whatever I'm doing. She's been a wonderful companion. She's comfortable on prednisone for now, but soon I'll have to make a decision. Dreading the day...

OT-
One kid.
One kid is enough.
Don't have the energy
or sanity
for more.
I want a labrador retreiver,
a yellow one,
Have had a yellow lab all my life,
but now have the greyhound
because I will not have him destroyed after racing.
In the meantime, I watch as the breeders mess with the Labrador breed,
making them smaller, and wider...
I like the leaner, taller labs.

Annette

BTW...each lab I've owned was named Pete, after a great uncle.

Kids are crying next door, they let their weinerdog puppy outside early this morning and it ran away.
Big mistake...
We have HUGE coyotes around, and they love puppies, and small dogs.
Big mistake...
I told the kids that they shouldn't let a puppy run loose with coyotes running around.
