Monty,

Thanks for your in depth reply. I am going to read it more than once in order to get a complete understanding (my mother tongue is German).

Have a nice weekend and thanks again.
Manfred

Re: "Now I know I will catch hell over this on AMD (BTW, I love AMD processors and think they will give INTC a run). But, AMD has a 10% (around $4)gap to fill down at mid 40 level. It will fill that gap. Maybe soon .. may be later but it will fill it."

Do you follow AMD closely? I think not. Barring some unforeseen screw up (ex. ship new processors which get recalled), what will precipitate a return to the mid 40s?? It surely can't be just a $4 gap to fill?? Management has all but guaranteed record 2nd quarter revenues/earnings even after record revenue/earnings in the traditionally slowest first quarter. I expect over $1.50/share for the second quarter and perhaps $7/share for the year. What is your basis for shorting AMD??? It has held up perhaps better than any tech stock during this sell off. I think you are clueless regarding AMD.
