Not my old dog Bud who is in bird chasing land. I could stop him at 200 yards on a whistle and he would take a signal on where to go. He'd try that and then do what he wanted. We were about 50-50 on being right. I trusted him and he trusted me. Always got the retrieve done.

He liked to stay at Sheraton Inns for the room service.
