From the Ottawa Citizen, there is a new optical networking equipment startup in the Ottawa region - AcceLight Networks of Pittsburgh with $18 million US in financing from major venture capital firms in Silicon Valley. It is interesting how Silicon Valley goes to Ottawa for optical networking talent. I guess there is a shortage of optical networking talent in Silicon Valley, New England and the Pacific Northwest so companies like Cisco and ONI go to Ontario to recruit talent.
