Curtis, that's an interesting topic that you momentarily touched on: "... as far as their ISP activities, like DSL service ..." Is the DSL service, itself, considered one of the ILEC's ISP services? I would think that the service stood on its own merits as an access platform, suitable to allow an end user to access any different number of diverse types of services, although admittedly most of those would be 'Net access. My hometown, Cary, NC, has just received a recommendation from the Gartner group to use FTTN as a fiberoptic network and VDSL as a last mile solution. Full report.. townofcary.org I would appreciate it if some of you could take a look at the bandwith demands estimates on pages 43 and 44 and let me know what your thoughts are. Who are the major players in VDSL? TIA, Bill
